Bobble Head
Bobble Head

Is there such thing as a Jimi Hendrix bobble head?
I think that it is utterly preposterous that such a thing would not exist…I mean come on!! A Jimi Hendrix bobble head..it has to exist. If you know, can you tell me where I can get one!?
There doesn’t appear to be. A Google search for Hendrix bobblehead doesn’t have any actual “Hendrix bobbleheads” in the first 30 returns so I’d assume there is no such beast.

Great gift ideas come in different packages. Souvenir items are given as a remembrance or a symbol of celebration or success. Collectible items could either be figurines, dishes, plates, cups, porcelain and dolls. Most of the time, we have a hard time thinking what to give our boyfriends, guy best friends and our brothers. Men have a certain liking to sports, games, TV shows, movies, music, and a lot more. Men have their own set of favorites in basketball teams, football, soccer, and baseball. So if your brother’s birthday is coming up and you still have not thought of a great gift idea, then why not purchase a custom bobble head. It is unique and it is worth keeping.
Aside from that, you can even have a customized wobbler of your own version. You just simply submit your photo and specify the size of the doll you want. Some bobble head collectors are into buying limited edition nodder dolls which can be very rare. Bobble head dolls may be made from different materials but these days, most of these toys are made of plastic. This is because plastic is less expensive than other materials so it will be more affordable for people who want it. If you have not seen one before, it is a figurine or a doll with a wobbling head.
The head is attached to a spring which is then connected to the torso or body of the figure. The nodding head is very sensitive to movement so even a slight tap would cause the head to wobble. These are usually tapered in the dashboard of cars and vans. During those times, bobble heads were usually made based from the bodies of very popular people such as the Beatles, Disney characters and many more. This is when nodder collecting became rampant. As time went by, other materials have been used for the manufacture of these bobbing head dolls and the modern ones are characterized by the large size of the head compared to the torso. This is to create a greater emphasis to the wobbling head.
Great athletes have their own action figures and bobble head versions. Basketball players and popular mascots of different corporations or food chains have their own nodder dolls as well. Most of the time, it is used as a promotional figure or a souvenir in great sporting events. Sometimes, it is used in commercials and advertisements as a form of promotion.
As a matter of fact, it is already included as a type of collectible doll and many people are already into collecting them. They are made from different materials but during the early years, paper was the primary material for making it. After a few years, the switch from the use of paper to ceramic had been introduced. And now, most bobble heads are already made of plastic and some with a combination of glass and ceramic. The San Francisco Giants was the first baseball team to give out a bobble head as a souvenir to their beloved fans. Other notable people have also their bobble head versions made as a gift or a keepsake item.
