What is the translation of the first section of the serenity prayer in Navajo?
My mother was full navajo indian and she passed away a few years ago. It was her favorite prayer and used it frequently in her native language. Sadly i was never taught it, but I would like to learn it in her honor. Thanks!

Indians must be proud of the past.

The people of India should come out of the inferiority complex and frustration. They had a glorious past when their forefathers were sitting and trying to find out God, they established the concept of God, they established the concept of luck and destiny and they pronounced that God Himself writes luck and destiny each of us and the Indians must be proud of the fact that their forefathers had established the fact that when this man dies God takes all accounts from him and if he had been doing good works he is sent to Heaven and if he had been doing bad works in life, then this man is sent to Hell where he suffers. We must be proud of the fact that forefathers had counted lives on this earth upto 84,00,000. We must be proud of the fact that the forefathers of the Indians started writing religious books and they introduced the concept of prayer and they started establishing religious places where people must collect, recite religious books and then pray in groups. The concept of religious discourses had been started by the Indians.
There had been bad times too when we started converting as slaves. We could not learn the art of self-defence. We had been dividing ourselves and at times there are instances when people from India had been inviting and helping foreigners to come and occupy the establishments of those who were not in good terms with us. And all these bad activities turned this country a slave country and the people who had been occupying our country had been destroying all we had achieved in the past. It is on record that these foreigners changed all that we had achieved and even our religious books, religious places had been destroyed and it is on record that the people ruling us had been converting us and when we were achieving independence in 1947 a part of us demanded Pakistan and we were divided in that year bringing a bad period for us all because it is on record that India and Pakistan could not live in peace and they are always at war directly or indirectly. The coming of foreigners in our country destroyed all our past and now we are neither living in the past or in the present. We are living a life style which is not our own, but we have been adopting culture of others leaving our own culture.
The people of India are not having true information with us. The whole history had been written by those who were trying to malign the people of India and that is the reason man of today is not having any knowledge about his past and he is governed by the norms which the foreigners had left for him. Today the man in India does not know what had been his past and what had been his past legacies. That is the reason this man is neither foreigner nor Indian. Therefore, time has come when the people of India must realize and they must try to locate their past and re-establish the same on the same honourable place where it had reached during those days. All that which is new must be there, but at the same time, we should be proud of the fact that we had been having a very glorious past and all others on the other side had been copying us and now they are ahead of us.
The state must start having a look on the past and it must come forward with all the findings and must tell the people that they were having a glorious past and therefore, they must try to revive that past. If the people of India forget their total past, they shall not be standing at any stage and they shall never be recognized as Indians. The nation and its people must have their own identity and their own recognition. We should not leave our past and must go ahead with the past.
